Improvements

[edit]

All work on this greatly appreciated - as you can see it's incredibly weak on recent years. --ALargeElk 12:49, 19 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Good work, large elk ! Is it original ? Jay 18:02, 19 Mar 2004 (UTC)
It's largely based on "A Corner of a Foreign Field" by Ramachandra Guha - a 450 page book cut down to a few paragraphs.--ALargeElk 11:10, 20 Mar 2004 (UTC)

merge?

[edit]

This page covers similar stuff to Indian cricket team. Shouldn't they be merged? jguk 2 July 2005 13:29 (UTC)

Definitely not. One should put the whole Indian game into context and the other should be a detailed history of the fortunes of the national team. These are clearly different topics. Calsicol 07:44, 15 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Domestic cricket

[edit]

In the names of domestic cricket competitions it is mentioned as TEST and ODI in parenthesis whereas there competitions are of first-class and List-A format. So unless it is mentioned so intensionally, I belive it needs to be changed. Thank you. srini (talk) 05:02, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

--History of Cricket-- Hello. I think that in the section where it includes the History of Cricket in India, I think that is important to include that during the early 20th century and 19th century, India was under colonial rule by the British. As a result, the British were the ones who introduced cricket to Indians. I believe the history section needs a little more work because it is important to include the start. The hyperlink "History of cricket in India from 1918–19 to 1945" does not give much of a historical background. Aahmed20 (talk) 05:11, 9 December 2016 (UTC)[User: aahmed20][reply]
